Wells Fargo helps build home with funding and volunteers

A Team Member Volunteer Program (TMVP) grant has been awarded to Haywood Habitat for Humanity as part of Wells Fargo Foundation's goal to create affordable and sustainable housing in the communities they serve. The TMVP provides financial support to eligible 501(c)3 public nonprofit housing organizations when Wells Fargo team members help build, renovate, paint, or repair a home for low-to-moderate income homebuyers or homeowners. The $10,000 grant will be used to help provide a home for a family of four in Habitat's Walton Woods neighborhood in Waynesville. A local Wells Fargo team will provide sixty hours of volunteer help for the build. "We are grateful for the support of Wells Fargo. Through their Team Member Volunteer Program, they are building stronger communities through the organizations they support. Their investment will forever change the lives of an entire family.", said Haywood Habitat Executive Director Jamye Sheppard. Construction of the home is scheduled to begin in late September.
