Since 1990, Haywood Habitat has built, rehabilitated, or repaired over 100 homes in Haywood County.
Everyone deserves a decent place to live, and at Haywood Habitat, we believe that affordable, safe housing is foundational to a strong community. Stable and affordable housing allows a child to be well-rested and ready to learn and succeed in school. It allows a nurse to focus on saving lives instead of worrying about how to pay the rent. It gives individuals and families the chance to recharge at home before stepping back into the community to support and invest in one another.
To achieve this vision, Haywood Habitat offers two programs: our Homeownership Program, which focuses on building safe, affordable homes for qualified families, and our Home Repair Program, which focuses on keeping existing homes safe, livable, and in the hands of the families who call them home.
