How to Help

Haywood Habitat for Humanity has numerous opportunities for you to get involved in our mission to provide safe, affordable housing for Haywood County families.

  • Construction site work (there are opportunities for skilled and unskilled volunteers)

  • Provide meals for volunteers on construction sites

  • Volunteer in the ReStore (no experience necessary)

  • Help with Habitat community events

For more info on volunteer opportunities contact our office at 828-452-7960 or support@haywoodhabitat.org. To apply to become a volunteer, please fill out the form below!

We work year round at the construction site on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. (Visit our event calendar for holiday schedules.) Habitat volunteers must be 16 years or older to work on site when we are doing construction. All volunteers must sign a waiver of liability. Click here to download our liability waiver. Any volunteers under the age of 18 will need to bring to the jobsite a minor liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Click here to download our minor liability waiver. Special arrangements can be made for youths 14-15 to work on Habitat homes when construction is not taking place. Click here for our Volunteer FAQs.
